LINO MIELE

lino_mieleLino Miele is recognized as one of the best teachers of Ashtanga yoga in the world and he is one of the few certified directly by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. As his devoted student, he began practicing in 1988. Lino Miele, deeply passionate about practice, he quit his job as technical director of a theater in 1993 to devote himself entirely to teaching Ashtanga yoga, and now he holds seminars and retreats around the world. He founded the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Rome and the schools in Milan, Tallinn and Buenos Aires.

In-depth research on the system of Vinyasa known through practice, personal meetings and studies with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, in ‘90s, Lino Miele wrote his first book, entitled “Ashtanga Yoga”  which contains the descriptions of the 1st and 2nd series.

The book “Ashtanga Yoga”, has become one of the fundamental texts, together with the “Yoga Mala” by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, for the practice of Ashtanga yoga.

After more than 20 years of practice and 10 years of research on the method of Vinyasa in contact with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Lino Miele has published in 2012 the book “Ashtanga Yoga-the yoga of breath”, which contains descriptions of the first series, the intermediate and the advanced A and B, also called: 1 st, 2 nd, 3 and 4th series.
